Our barrel aged balsamic from Modena, Italy gets its exceptional flavor from years of aging. Trebbiano grapes are slowly cooked, reducing it to a syrup. It is then combined with older balsamic vinegar to help speed the acidification process and then transferred to oak barrels, which infuses it with the wood’s aroma. The result is a thick and flavorful syrup. It’s perfect for making salad dressings, pouring over meats and vegetables, or with extra-virgin olive oil as a dip for crusty bread.
